I am Ali. I am interested in understanding reality and making progress.
In this blog, I express my ideas on a broad range of topics. The only unifying theme is that I find these ideas interesting and/or useful. I try not to put myself in categories and am always looking to improve my thinking and follow reason.
My worldview has been heavily influenced by the Deutschian-Popperian philosophy, as laid out in the book The Beginning of Infinity.
Professionally, I chose to focus on software. I love the intellectual challenge that it provides and culture of innovation, growth, and progress. There is a large amount of value that is being created here, in the broadest sense of the word "value".
As sophisticated as this technology is, I believe that computers can be understood.
